“My husband and I have been married for 41 years. ILD’s communication model opened our eyes, minds, and hearts to how we naturally give and receive communication to and from each other, especially during conflict. Over time, we began to understand each other’s communication styles without judgment because we are so different! We have learned to not attempt to try and fix each other. We now intentionally seek to understand one another because we genuinely love, like, and want the best for each other and our family.  ILD Coach communication assessment and their great practical tools saved our marriage.”

“Learning to understand each other’s communication style with its behaviors, terminology, and trigger words…. Well, it saved our marriage. There’s no magic pill. We are who we are but understanding each other better changed our perspectives and perceptions. It created opportunities for realistic expectations. We live this new language every day to its fullest.”

“Hi, I’m Chiara, I love the positive attitude of the ILD Coach. I was comfortable in expressing my concerns and also in methods / suggestions that were offered. Not many people can create that “safe place” to share thoughts and concerns. The ILD Coach did that effortlessly.”

    Frequently Asked Questions

Click on questions below for answers.

Does my spouse or partner have to participate in the training with me?

No, not necessarily. While we recommend both parties participate together for optimum results, we have witnessed success for couples where at least one party shows up as their “best self” and initiates new communication techniques into the relationship. Often this can shift the other party to become more engaged and interested in the process.

In some cases, where your partner is unable to attend due to scheduling conflicts, we also record the training so that your partner can watch them at a later time.

Is the training in-person or virtual?

The training is taught live via Zoom. No costly travel involved. Plan to join us from the comfort of your own couch.

How many other couples will attend the training?

Each course will have a maximum of 10 couples, no more than 20 individuals. The intent is to create a more intimate atmosphere where everyone has an opportunity to engage and participate.

Will I have to interact with the other couples?

We understand everyone comes to the table with their own communication preferences. Some enjoy group participation while others do not. Participants are able to engage within the group setting as much, or as little, as they want and/or feel comfortable. Whether or not you elect to share in the group settings, you will still gain a deeper understanding and awareness from the process.

What technology do I need to participate in the training?

We recommend a laptop or desktop computer with access to high-speed internet. You can use the free version of Zoom by accessing Zoom online at www.zoom.us or download the Zoom app.

Is physical abuse addressed in this course?

No. This course is designed to address common communication barriers. Physical abuse is not a communication barrier. Rather, it is a symptom of a much greater mental health concern that cannot be addressed through standard communication work. Everyone deserves to be in a healthy relationship. We encourage you to seek guidance from the National Domestic Violence Hotline.
